I first went to an L&L when I was in California for work about 15 years ago. I went there frequently the couple months I was there and loved it. Was very excited when this location opened up. I got two of my favorites from before, the BBQ Short Ribs and Chicken Katsu and they are just as good as before. I like the ... macaroni salad that comes with the entrees a lot. Such delicious, flavorful, food. And the ube, coconut drinks, just heaven! Reminded me of being back in the islands of Hawaii. I went on opening day, and it was worth the wait. The owners are so amazing and greeted everyone with leis. Can't wait to go back!

Food was prepared quickly. Everything was tasty, flavorful and not heavy. I loved the crispiness of the chicken katsu as well as the fantastic dipping sauce. The saiman was very savory and satisfying. The Mac salad is a great compliment to all the great meat dishes to cut through the richness.
